Our Story

Founded in 2018

Ten Energy was founded in 2018 as a Mining and Oil services company in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. We were formed to discover, develop and sustainably mine industrial and metallic resources in the region.

At Ten Energy we pride ourselves on combining a data driven approach created by a team of internationally recognized professionals with local, on the ground expertise to obtain the best possible results.

Zein Korkis

Chief Executive Officer

Under his guidance, Ten Energy has made critical discoveries in various types of deposits across the region. His approach combines best-in-class exploration teams and technologies with local expertise to maximize untapped potential in the region.

Korkis pairs his multi-cultural background, where he lived in 10 countries and speaks 5 languages, with his local roots to navigate challenges and develop assets for international markets. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematics and Statistics from McGill University, Canada. His previous work experience includes Management Consulting, Finance and Sales.

Heinrich Muller

Non-Executive Director

A mining executive and professional geologist with experience across the resources value chain. Through operational, leadership and consulting roles in South America, Southern Africa, Europe and North America, he has been part of multi-disciplinary teams leading private and publicly listed companies and executing a range of projects including greenfield and advanced resource projects, feasibility studies, open pit commissioning and operational production management.

Mr. Muller is VP Technical for Bravo Mining, a Canadian listed company developing South America's largest PGM project. He has held various roles within Anglo American Platinum including Executive Director of Anglo Platinum Brazil and Managing Director of Pedra Branca Minerals. At Ten Energy, Heinrich advises on project development and ensures they are managed appropriately throughout the development chain.

Dr. Rebar Tahseen

Project Developer

Dr. Rebar Tahseen oversees project development at Ten Energy. He has over 10 years' experience in the mining industry where he focused on remote sensing, exploration, mine planning and design at several different projects.

Dr. Tahseen obtained a Ph.D. in remote sensing and GIS application in Geo-environment, a master's degree in geoinformatics techniques in structural geology and a bachelor's degree in Geology all from Salaheddin University, Erbil. He earned his post-graduate diploma in Earth resource exploration from the University of Twente, The Netherlands. Dr. Rebar Tahseen is also a lecturer in the department of Earth Sciences and Petroleum at Salahaddin University.

JC Le Grange

Exploration Manager

A professional geologist with over 12 years experience in exploration and operations, responsible for managing asset discovery and exploration at Ten Energy. He has worked on projects in Southern and Central Africa, the Middle East and Europe with project and production level experience in coal, PGM, copper, cobalt, iron ore, titanium, vanadium, and mineral fertilisers.

He was previously the Mineral Resource Manager for Ilangabi Coal, the coal production subsidiary of Brikor, and has held various field exploration, management and consulting roles for MINROM, Fugro, Gecamines, and Expetra. JC recently moved into the Advisory sphere of the Mining Industry, leveraging his experience in the exploration and mining sectors to enhance clients' natural resource portfolios.
